Ship sanitation control certificate

The municipality of Kinn is approved by the Norwegian Directorate of Health to carry out an inspection to print and extend the hygiene certificate for ships.

  • SSCEC / SHIP SANITATION CONTROL EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE
  • SSCC / SHIP SANITATION CONTROL CERTIFICATE
  • EXTENSION OF SSCEC / SSCC

in compliance with IHR regulations, §21 / International health regulations.

The certificate is valid for 6 months, and can be extended by one month.

Ships in foreign traffic are obligated to have a valid hygiene certificate. The certificate for hygiene control covers the entire hygienic standard of the ship, which may have an impact on transmission, such as foodstuffs, drinking water, swimming pool, waste handling etc.

Payment tariff for examination and control for hygiene certificate is determined by the Norwegian Directorate of Health.

When ordering an inspection for hygiene certification, we ask for the following information:

  • Name of ship, IMO number, nationality and contact information of ship
  • Name and contact information on person/agent arranging inspection
  • Expiration date on certificate
  • Earlier certificate, as an e-mail attachment
  • Billing address
